The Ivy Tower Bridge, nestled in the heart of London, presents a dining experience that seamlessly blends sophistication with comfort, making it an ideal destination for Mother’s Day.

I headed to the beloved restaurant on Tuesday evening, to try their all-new Mother’s Day menu available from today (March 6) until Sunday (March 12), starting at 11.30am each day.

The Mother's Day menu showcases a selection of beloved Ivy dishes alongside their signature dessert creation, the Strawberry and Elderflower trifle.

Hackney Gazette:

For just £27.50, guests can indulge in two fabulous courses, or three for just £32.50, and can even add a glass of champagne for £10 per person.

The service throughout the meal was impeccable, with the waitstaff displaying an impressive knowledge of the menu and providing helpful recommendations with Mother’s Day cocktails.

Now The Ivy is a household name – and I have never heard a bad word said about the chic restaurant – so I knew my experience was going to be nothing short of fabulous.

Hackney Gazette:

As I stepped into the restaurant, I was immediately struck by its elegant ambiance, characterized by tasteful décor and a welcoming atmosphere.

Upon being seated, I was promptly greeted by attentive staff who exuded professionalism and warmth.

The culinary offerings on the Mother’s Day menu at The Ivy Tower Bridge are nothing short of exceptional – and we made sure to taste the cocktails, appetizers, starters, mains, and even had room for dessert.

Hackney Gazette:

My friend and I shared the Zucchini Fritti with lemon, chilli, and mint yoghurt for our appetizers while we sipped on three delicious, aesthetically pleasing cocktails that are sure to capture the hearts of mums everywhere.

Hackney Gazette:

Our incredible waiter guided us through each cocktail ingredient and told us that the Mother’s Day inspired cocktails were mostly based around Elderflower – a light, honeysuckle ingredient that pairs perfectly with food.

Cocktails include the St-Germain Hugo Spritz, which features St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Prosecco and Soda water, and, my personal favourite, the Elderflower Martini, which features St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Grey Goose vodka, Lime juice, Cranberry juice and Pomegranate syrup.

For starters, I enjoyed the Robata Grilled Chicken Skewers, which came with bang bang peanut sauce, sesame, coconut, and lime and coriander, while my friend had the Twice-baked Gratinated Cheese Soufflé With basil and lovage pesto, and toasted pine nuts.

Hackney Gazette:

The tender chicken, kissed by the grill, boasted a succulent juiciness complemented by the vibrant tang of the bang bang peanut sauce – it was heaven on a plate.

For the main course, I opted for the Tempura Nobashi Prawn Poke Bowl, which is paired with Sticky rice, edamame beans, cucumber, wakame seaweed, chilli, mizuna and a ponzu dressing.

Hackney Gazette:

The crispiness of the tempura prawns contrasts beautifully with the softness of the sticky rice, and the dish was bursting with freshness from the edamame, cucumber, and wakame seaweed, enhanced by a tantalizing kick of chili and the zesty tang of ponzu dressing.

My friend enjoyed The Ivy twist on a Chicken Milanese, which was made up of a Brioche-crumbed chicken breast with baby plum tomatoes, capers, rocket, Parmesan, and pesto.

Hackney Gazette:

While we sat, chatted, and enjoyed another round of sweet, delicious Mother’s Day cocktails, we took in the stunning views of the iconic Tower Bridge and the River Thames, which provides a picturesque backdrop for a memorable dining experience.

Hackney Gazette:

The desserts available on the Mother’s Day menu at The Ivy were equally impressive, offering an array of tempting treats to satisfy any sweet tooth.

I couldn't resist trying the Classic Frozen Berries, which was presented in a beautiful, alluring way, as the dry ice sublimated all around our table, and caught the attention of other customers.

Hackney Gazette:
