Bodney Road, Hackney stabbing: Fourth charged with murder

A fourth man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Clapton.

Jason Romeo, 20, died after being stabbed outside in Bodney Street on February 18 at 5.59pm.

Renaldo Roberts, 25, of Hobbs Place Estate in Hoxton will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (February 27) charged with murder.

He was arrested on Tuesday (February 25) after the Metropolitan Police released an appeal searching for the suspect the day before.

Hackney men Raynolph Asante, 22, of Pembury Road and Travis Mitchell, 22, of Bodney Road were previously charged with murder.

Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21 Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21 of Williams Avenue, Walthamstow, has also been charged.

The three have been remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on November 3.

A 19-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of murder today (February 26) and remains in custody.

Another 19-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday (February 25) has been bailed pending further enquiries.
