Saturday Kitchen wine expert Olly Smith will host an event to celebrate 100 years of Rioja.

The two-day event at Hackney Bridge on July 19 and 20 will feature wine tastings, masterclasses, and live cooking demonstrations.

Spanish chefs José Pizarro and Omar Allibhoy will present live demonstrations at 2.15pm and 5.15pm each day.

Mr Pizarro will reveal his tapas secrets, while Mr Allibhoy will teach how to master paella.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in wine masterclasses with Olly Smith and top Rioja winemakers.

The event will offer a chance to win a bottle of Rioja wine from your birth year.

For £10 plus a booking fee, attendees will receive £12 worth of wine tokens to try over 50 different Rioja wines.

There is also a free entry option for those who prefer to pay as they go.

A variety of street food vendors will be present, offering pintxo-style bites that pair well with Rioja.

The event is expected to be an enjoyable celebration of Rioja's winemaking heritage, offering something for both casual wine sippers and serious enthusiasts.
