A man is in hospital after falling from a height near the Walthamstow Marshes.
The incident happened on Lea Bridge Road at around 4.45pm on Saturday (July 12).
An ambulance crew was sent and an air ambulance helicopter also landed on nearby grassland in the marshes.
A man was treated after being impaled in the leg and taken to hospital by road.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 4.46pm on Saturday 12 July to reports of a person fallen from height on Lea Bridge Road, E10.
““We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
