A 16-year-old has been charged with the murder of a teenager who was killed at a house party in Hackney.
Just before 7.20pm on Monday (May 25), police were called to reports of a large gathering, disorder, and sightings of individuals in possession of machetes in Towpath Walk, reports London Now.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found Brayan David Saldarriaga from Haringey with stab wounds in Poplar Close.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the 15-year-old died at the scene.
A 16-year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, has been charged with murder and was also charged with possession of a bladed article yesterday (May 29).
He will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today (May 30).
Saldarriaga’s next-of-kin continue to receive support from specialist officers.
