People in Hackney are being asked to donate unwanted bric-a-brac to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
People can either take donations to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God’s (UCKG) HelpCentre in 20 Brenthouse Road, South Hackney before Saturday February 15, which will then be resold in the heart health charity’s 735 UK shops.
The UCKG is running the appeal at its 26 of its centres in England and Wales, in recognition of the fact that coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer, responsible for an average of 200 deaths a day.
