Tracey Emin is among the artists exhibiting work in Hackney bars this month, as beer fans take part in a pub crawl with a difference.
The Beck’s Art Crawl will give drinkers the chance to see classic designs for Beck’s labels by eight contemporary artists in bars around Shoreditch – and to win prints and free beer.
And to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Beck’s art labels, art students will be given the chance to paint the town red – or any other colour – when six winning designs are recreated in a giant mural on Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch, on Saturday April 16.
The ‘art crawl’ runs until April 28 and takes in The Griffin, Leonard Street; Owl and Pussycat, Redchurch Street; The Old Blue Last, Great Eastern Street; 10 Bells, Commercial Street; and Juno and Corner Shop, both on Shoreditch High Street.
