Budding young superstars are invited to audition at the Hackney Empire tomorrow (Saturday) in a bid to win the borough’s annual talent show, Alter Ego.
Singers, dancers, rappers, comedians and even magicians are invited to try and impress the judges at the Mare Street theatre between 10am to 6pm.
Budding performers aged 13-21 can also apply online by uploading videos to www.discoveryounghackney.com
Finalists for the show on Friday February 1 will be announced on Monday January 21, and the public can view the contenders and vote for their favourites via the website.
The final will be hosted by MTV Base presenter Kat B and will include a performance by Hackney born actress and MC Paigey Cakey.
The winner will receive professional industry mentoring.
