Youngsters picked fresh herbs, mixed dough, and made their own pizzas and freshly baked bread in a wood-fired oven at the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden.
The summer series of Breakfast Club outdoor cookery sessions with chef David Latto engaged young people from the Hackney Young Carers charity, the Learning Trust’s re-engagement programme and the Claudia Jones Organisation.
The sessions took place thanks to Nick Griffiths, the founder of Land of Kings club nights, who ran the Hackney half-marathon earlier this year to raise funds for the garden in Dalston Lane.
