London Fashion Week will be brought to Oxfam this Saturday, where a Back of the Wardrobe personal stylist will be on hand to prove you don't need a big budget to be on trend.
Emma Slade Edmondson plans to recreate runway looks using clothes in the the Kingsland Road store in Dalston, just moments after they appear on the live stream of the Spring Summer 2014 collections.
“Clothing re-use is not just an ethical, thoughtful and thrifty fashion choice, but that it’s pretty cool too,” said Ms Slade Edmondson, founder of Back of the Wardrobe, a unique personal styling business which uses people’s old clothes to create new outfits.
Pictures will be released on Facebook and Twitter as the event happens, and a short film showing the styling action will be edited on site and released the next day.
The Oxfam LFW Takeover takes place on Saturday September 14.
Ms Slade Edmondson also plans to be on hand this Wednesday for the The Clothes Club clothes swapping event which aims to raise money for a creative children’s project run by social enterprise the Bootstrap Company with its £10 entry fee. The event takes place on Wednesday at the Dalston Roof Park in Ashwin Street.
