A young boy is in hospital after accidentally falling from a third floor window in Upper Clapton yesterday.

Police and medics were called to Southwold Road at 11am and the child was taken to hospital. Scotland Yard today said he was stable and his injuries are not life-threatening.

The road was closed until 5pm while emergency services dealt with the situation.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
