This dim-witted burglar was rumbled after climbing through a first-floor window in full view of passers-by.
Volunteers from the Jewish neighbourhood watch group Shomrim watched on as a young man peered through home windows in Leaside Road, Upper Clapton on Tuesday evening.
They even took this picture of him climbing into a house at about 6.20pm.
A man was later arrested on suspicion of burglary.
