A car and a bus were involved in a serious crash this morning in Dalston Lane.
Police were called to the junction of Ridley Road just before 5.20am and the smash had caused “substantial damage” to both vehicles.
The passengers of the 56 bus and the driver of the car were fortunately not injured.
Scotland Yard said no arrests had been made and a file had been prepared for the roads policing team.
The road was closed until just after 9am.
