A pumpkin carving marathon is set for the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden this weekend.
Children, young people and adults are invited to make their mark on the squashes on Saturday afternoon from 1pm-5pm and Sunday from 1pm – 4pm, before everything is lit up for a lantern show on Sunday evening.
Hot drinks, spicy pumpkin soup, pizzas from the oven will be on sale, and lots of blankets and hot water bottles on hand to keep out the cold
The Halloween Pumpkin Lantern Show launches the Garden’s annual ‘Festival of Light’ which runs throughout November and December with more lantern making events and children’s activities and “Light Up Nights’ which see the garden illuminated by all the hand-crafted lights.
