Clapton Girls Academy was celebrating yesterday after its A-level results placed the school in the top 25 percent in the country.
85% of exams were graded A* to C, above the national average, with subjects such as French, Spanish and economics achieving over 80pc A* to B’s.
Students will now set off for a range of universities from around the country, with Sheffield, City university London and Nottingham just a few of the destinations. Many will also be heading into apprenticeships.
“Congratulations to all our Sixth Form students for working incredibly hard and achieving such strong results in addition to their wider contributions to the leadership of the academy,” said headteacher Cheryl Day.
“We wish our Year 13 students every success as they leave us for the next exciting chapter in their lives.”
