Arthur Smith introduces an evening of New Variety Comedy in a bill featuring John Hegley

“Grumpy Old Man” Arthur Smith will headline the first in a new season of top notch professional comedy shows at The Proud Archivist for the We Are Funny Project.

Arthur, a regular on BBC Radio 4, host of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year, author, award-winning playwright, will be joined by the self-annointed “8th funniest comedian from Sweden”, Olaf Falafel.

Also appearing on the show is Simon King, who was a TV regular in Canada and has recorded an hour-long comedy special, and the show will be MCed by Graeme Mathews. Tickets are £10 in advance or £14 on the door at 8.30pm on Saturday, at the venue in Hertford Road, Haggerston.
