Youths stole thousands of pounds worth of computer equipment from an Upper Clapton primary school in second break-in in just over two weeks.

Burglars struck Harrington Hill Primary School in Mount Pleasant Hill first on Thursday February 21.

Three youngsters then forced their way into the building shortly before 9.50pm on Friday (March 4), making off with eight Apple Mac Pro computers.

An alarm system, which had be activated at 6.30pm, alerted police and witnesses saw the suspects - described as black boys wearing dark clothing - run towards Leaside Road.

Officers are appealing for information. Anyone who may have seen the computers or could assist with the enquiries should call DS Bryan of Hackney’s burglary squad on 0207 275 3232 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
