Cyclists riding on the pavement to avoid the Stoke Newington one-way system faced another crackdown last Friday.
Police officers issued seven fines for jumping red lights and another 24 for cycling on the pavement.
A spokeswoman for Hackney Police said: "Again there was several positive comments and encouragement from pedestrians and on some occasions passing cyclists who were obeying the law."
The campaign group, Hackney Cyclists, has criticised the recent crackdown. Co-ordinator Trevor Parson said cyclists used the pavement to avoid the dangerous gyratory.
