Escaped mental patient found on bus in Haringey

Police thank public for their help.

A MAN who escaped a secure mental health hospital has been found on a bus in Wood Green.

Chidi Njoku, 27, a patient at the John Howard Centre in Kenworthy Road who is being cared and treated under the Mental Health Act, went missing a week ago after giving his escort the slip while out walking.

Police had warned the public to be careful as Mr Njoku has a history of violence and suffers from schizophrenia.

He was found on a bus in Wood Green on Wednesday January 12 and is believed to have been living in Camden.
