Hackney Police are appealing for information after the occupants of a black Vauxhall Astra allegedly threw an unknown liquid into the faces of passers by.

Police were called just after 3.30pm on Sunday February 16 to Downs Park Road following complaints someone in the car had deliberately thrown a substance – which is believed to be water - into pedestrians’ faces.

Anyone with information or who was a victim of this alleged common assault should contact Hackney’s hate crime team on 0207 275 3444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
