Albion Road was taped off by police from about 5am on Friday morning


A man was rushed to hospital after being found by police lying in a Newington Green road early this morning.

Officers were called to Albion Road, near the junction with Newington Green Road, at 4am and took the man to hospital.

His injuries are not said to be life threatening or life changing and he has since been arrested on suspicion od possessing an offensive weapon and Class B drugs.

Albion Road has been taped off all morning while Hackney police investigate what happened.
