Cops were called to Aden Grove at 7.40am after an alleged attack. They found the victim, in her 30s, and she was taken to hospital where she remains in a “critical but stable” condition, police said.

A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and taken into custody. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries until mid-September.
