Man still in hospital after shooting in Hackney’s De Beauvoir Conservation area

A 56-year-old man was shot in the leg in the early hours of Thursday morning in the De Beauvoir conservation area.

Emergency services were called at to Stamford Road at 2.30am and took the victim to an east London hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Trident Gang Crime Command, the Met police division set up to tackle gang crime is investigating, but no arrests have yet been made.

“Police putting leaflets in local houses looking for information. Shooting happened on Thursday night, does anyone know what happened?” she said.

Petra J replied, “Not heard anything, but we had the police going through bins and bushes and stuff in Kingsmead yesterday.”
