Meat cleaver maniac disarmed by Hackney police

Brave police officers disarmed a man armed with a meat cleaver during a fight outside a chicken shop in Graham Road, Dalston.

Police were called at around 6.45pm on Friday night to the shop where a 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray, and a 19-year old was arrested on suspicion of affray.

They have been released on bail until later this month.

Hackney MPS tweeted: “Officers have just disarmed a male armed with a meat cleaver. All parties safe. Good work from B team #GDERTB #keepinghackneysafe.”
