Police appeal for information after Lower Clapton stabbing

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a man was slashed across the neck in Clapton.

Officers were called to reports of an injured man yesterday (Monday) morning just before 4:30am to Lower Clapton Road.

The 45-year-old is believed to have been attacked in the street near the 77 Social Club in Dalston Lane.

The man was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a serious, but not life-threatening condition.

There has been no arrest at this stage and police enquiries continue.

Road closures were in place at Dalston Lane and Lower Clapton Road.
