Police are appealing for witnesses after a 49-year-old woman was found suffering from multiple fractures to her face in Clapton.

The victim was found by the London Ambulance Service close to Lea Bridge Road on January 22 and was taken to Homerton Hospital.

It is believed the assault occurred near to the RS Lounge in Woodford New Road, Walthamstow between 6pm and 7pm. It is not known how the woman travelled to Hackney.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information in connection with the assault.
