Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged sexual assault last month in Haggerston.

The victim was walking with her dog on Wednesday June around 6pm on Shrubland Road, near to the junction with Grand Union Crescent.

The suspect approached her and made repeated indecent requests and sexually assaulted her before she managed to escape.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area or may have any information which would help with their enquiries.

The suspect is described as a black man with a slim build in his mid-20s.

He was wearing baggy clothes, a baseball cap with a flat peak and earphones.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Kevin Ives on 0207 275 3644 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
