A teenager stabbed in Hackney Central last night received first aid from an ambulance passenger transport driver, who happened to be passing at the time.

The 19-year old victim was with a friend when he was approached by the suspect, at 5.55pm in Chatham Place, at the junction with Paragon Road.

He was wounded to the inside of his forearm, with another superficial cut to his left arm, and was treated at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

A police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries continue, the victim has been released from hospital and we have no description of a suspect at the moment.”
