Bailiffs evicted a tenant from an address in Upper Clapton Road after they ignored a court order.
Cops were granted a closure order by Thames Magistrates’ Court last month over persistent anti-social behaviour at the property, which they had raided twice.
The order prevented anyone but the legal tenant from being there. But when officers visit last month the order sign was taken down and there were two drug users inside.
Pc Jess Perez Barro said: “Due to the ongoing issues regarding drug users and the increase in thefts and begging in the area, a closure order was granted for a three month period.”
He added: “Due to the flagrant disregard of the order by the tenant, contact was made with the landlord of the property to find a solution to the ongoing problems. The landlord agreed the situation was unacceptable, and served an eviction notice.”
