Hackney police are appealing for witnesses after an unprovoked attack in Stoke Newington bar, Birthdays.

A 26-year old man was out with a friend in Birthdays in Stoke Newington High Street on Sunday March 10.

The suspect struck him with a glass in an unprovoked attack at around 1.30am, fracturing his cheekbone.

The suspect is described as Mediterranean in appearance, aged 20-26 years old, 5ft 8ins tall, with short dark hair and an athletic or stocky build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a green t-shirt, with writing on.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Louis Wood, from Hackney’s violent crime unit, on 101, quoting reference 4605868/13.
