Detectives investigating the assault and attempted murder of a father and son in Luton have taken the unusual step of naming a man that they want to speak with in connection to the incident.
He is Mohamed Sharif Ahmed, 23, who is also known as Mohammed Shariff, and is known to stay at addresses in north London.
Both victims were at home on the evening of Tuesday January 31 when three masked men forced their way into the home they share with their respective wives and a young child.
They violently assaulted the younger man, inflicting multiple stab wounds on him, and stabbed the older man.
They have both been released from hospital and are recovering from their ordeal.
One man from London has already been charged with wounding with intent, wounding, aggravated burglary and false imprisonment.
