A pervert who made revenge porn threats to a Hackney woman he met on a dating site has been jailed for harrassment.
Brett O’Leary, 44, offered the woman “a large sum of money” to sleep with him after
luring her to his home in Hermitage Close in Clare, Suffolk, after making contact online through the dating agency last July.
He then filmed himself having sex with the victim and took pictures of her when she was naked during the incident in July last year.
O’Leary then asked the victim to meet him again, and threatened to post the video footage and photographs online if she refused.
He was arrested last September and pleaded guilty to harassment at Thames Magistrates’ Court on June 1.
He was sentenced to 163 days imprisonment and issued with a restraining order last Thursday.
Det Insp Jane Topping from Hackney CID said: “This conviction would not have been possible without the help from the victim.
“I would like to commend her for having the courage to come forward and assist with the investigation.”
Scotland Yard warned O’Leary may have targeted other women and urged any other potential victims who recognise him to contact Hackney CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting crime reference 4620145/14.
