A meat cleaver, a fillet knife and a metal tent stake were found in the undergrowth on the Pembury Estate during a police sweep of the area.
Hackney Central safer neighbourhoods team (SNT) worked alongside police search advisors to uncover the objects on the Lower Clapton estate in Pembury Road, adjacent to where the riots kicked off in Hackney last year.
Sergeant Guy Elsey from the SNT said: “This operation has resulted in the removal of a number of dangerous weapons, which could have done great harm.
“Young children could have easily found these items and seriously hurt themselves.
“I am pleased that potential criminality on this estate has been disrupted and I’m delighted by the very positive and supportive response from local residents.”
