The family of 17-year old Jeremie Malenge, who was tracked down and stabbed in the street, have spoken of their heartbreak as his four killers were convicted of murder.
Sanaa Sayed Ibrahim, 18, of Opal Appartments, Homerton Road, Tre Morgan, 18 of Lyham Road, Clapham, and a 17-year old and a 14-year old who cannot be named for legal reasons, were found guilty of murder today at the Old Bailey following a trial that lasted almost eight weeks.
Mr Malenge, a former straight-A student at Petchey Academy, whose heart was pierced as he was stabbed three times in the chest and died at the scene after he was ambushed outside a supermarket in Ponsford Street, Homerton, on January 6 this year.
Ibrahim, the ‘inside woman’, who helped orchestrate the killing, had travelled by train from Swindon back to London with him and his 17-year old friend, before heading to Hackney Central.
They arrived at the station at 10.57pm and Ibrahim was on the phone to one of the alleged attackers two minutes later, as the three of them came to ambush them armed with a knife.

When Mr Malenge stopped to buy a bottle of water the attackers jumped out of their taxi, caught him and stabbed him three times in the chest.
Jeremie’s father said in a statement today that there had been a “massive hole in his heart” since his son was murdered.
“Every time I leave my home I always see people Jeremie’s age happily passing through the streets of Hackney and this always makes me think of my lovely son,” he continued.
“I’m finding it hard to enjoy anything in my life because of my son’s death.
“Jeremie was always polite and had never been in an argument with anyone in the family or outside.
“He is a big loss to our family and the killers of Jeremie have really broken our hearts. Now we know that nothing will ever be the same again.”
Sentencing will take place at the Old Bailey on Friday September 25.
