Customers watched programmes despite business not having a licence.
A FINSBURY Park bar has been fined hundreds of pounds after it was caught showing television programmes without a licence.
The N4 Wine Bar and Restaurant in Fonthill Road was fined �650 and told to pay �140 costs and a �15 victim surcharge at Haringey Magistrates Court.
In addition, managing director Samir Fridi was also fined �100, plus �60 costs and a �15 victim surcharge.
Any pub or bar which allows people to watch TV on the premises must be covered by a valid TV Licence.
If there is living accommodation on site where a TV is also in use, this must be covered by a separate licence.
Those without a valid licence are breaking the law and run the risk of a trip to court and a fine of up to �1,000 plus costs.
