Five men have been charged of conspiracy over a Mac10 automatic weapon - capable of firing multiple bullets with just one touch of the trigger - just before the Olympics this summer.
Hackney’s firearm and drugs team, Operation Bantam, have brought the charges against Sertac Ozgurel, 26, and Yusef Lewis, 31, both of Pembury Close, Lower Clapton, Ramzi Abdulhamid, 21 of Monteagle Way, Lower Clapton, Dennis Royes, 28, of Danesdale Road, South Hackney and Gavin Daley, 25 of Wise Road, Stratford.
They have all been charged within the jurisdiction of the Central Criminal Court of conspiracy to sell or transfer a Mac10 firearm, designed or adapted that two or more missiles could be successively discharged without repeated pressure on the trigger, between July 1 to 6 without the authority of the Secretary of State.
