A Hoxton drug dealer has been jailed for three and a half years after cops found him with drugs and a flick knife.

Patrick Holland, 20, of Cavendish Street, Hoxton, was stopped and searched by officers on September 25 after they spotted him in Chatham High Street with a known drug user.

Holland was seen paying attention to their police car and when the car turned around he quickly walked away with the man. Police thought Holland was trying to evade them and when they saw him later with another man they searched them both under the misuse of drugs act. Holland was found with three black wraps and two lumps, all later confirmed as heroin, a bag of cannabis, a flick knife and cash hidden inside a sock.

He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug, possession of a class B drug, having an offensive weapon and possessing criminal property. He was jailed at Maidstone Crown Court on October 24 after pleading guilty.

Investigating officer Pc Mike Wills said: “Holland was clearly dealing drugs in Medway and had he not been stopped on the day I have no doubt that he would have continued in order to profit from this type of criminality.”
