A binman, who turned his lover’s home into a bloodbath when he knifed her to death in front of their baby and attacked her brother and sister, is facing a life sentence today.

Myles Williams, 19, smashed through a kitchen window in 20-year-old trainee nursery worker Kirsty Treloar’s home in Brownlow Road on January 2, before kicking in her bedroom door and stabbing her 29 times.

Violent and controlling Williams then bundled his dying girlfriend into the back of his mother’s Fiat Stilo, and dumped her body next to a bin in Ryder Mews.

As he left the scene, he boasted to a bystander that his victim was a “white bitch” who had taken him for a fool before chillingly adding: “She needs to die”.

Kirsty’s sister Gemma, 25, was also stabbed in the arm as she frantically tried to protect her sibling, while brother Dean, 23, was knifed in the chest after he tried to subdue the attacker with a weighlifting bar.

Williams, of Pond Farm Estate, Clapton was convicted of murder and wounding with intent, but cleared of the attempted murder of Dean, following a two-week trial at the Old Bailey and will be sentenced on Wednesday.

In a statement read to the court, Kirsty’s mother, Pamela Dabney, said: “The last year of Kirsty’s life was made a living hell by somebody who was jealous of her relationship with her family and friends.

‘We will be forever scared by what we had to witness that morning and what she had to go through.

‘Nobody deserves to die that way. One day Myles Williams may have a chance of release, but ours is a life sentence with no chance of release for our broken hearts.”

DCI Andy Yeats of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command said: “This was an appalling and violent attack by an individual with a propensity for violence towards women.

“Kirsty’s murder was the result of her simply not wishing to see him that day,” he added.

“Williams’s response to this was savage and extreme, not only towards Kirsty but towards members of Kirsty’s family who tried to save her life.”
