One man probably won’t be having the best Valentines’ Day after he crashed his wife’s car in Clapton Pond – and then it saw it get seized by police.
Hackney police took to Twitter to make fun of the driver, who narrowly avoided plunging the car into the water at about 2am on Sunday.
They wrote: “With Valentine’s Day upon us, you would think driving your wife’s car nearly into a pond isn’t a good idea.. especially when you’re not insured to drive the vehicle in the first place! Anyone know a good florist?”
One man was processed for driving with no insurance and the vehicle was seized.
