A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Dalston this afternoon.
Police have taped off Crossway, at the junction of Kingsland High Street and Stoke Newington Road, and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
Scotland Yard said the victim is believed to be in his 20s. It is the second stabbing in 24 hours in the area.
Yesterday afternoon a 45-year-old man was knifed 10 times after allegedly breaking up a fight. He is in hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening. A 17-year-old also suffered minor injuries in the attack.
