A man was seriously injured after being shot in the leg in Upper Clapton.
The 36-year-old man was shot in the leg in Southwold Road at around 10pm on Wednesday night.
He was taken by paramedics to an east London hospital where he remains in a serious condition, according to Scotland Yard.
A Met spokesman said: “At this early stage the investigation is being led by Hackney officers.
There have been no arrests.
