A police officer ended up in hospital last night after being attacked while dealing with a fight in a Stamford Hill shop.
Two men got into a scrap with workers at about 10.25pm and cops were called. Two men, aged 54 and 36, were arrested – but during the arrest the officer was assaulted. He is now in hospital, though Scotland Yard said his injuries were not serious.
The 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and failure to appear in court.
The 36-year-old was arrested on suspicion of ABH, possession of an offensive weapon, theft, criminal damage and threats to kill.
Both are in custody.
