Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson attack at a Stoke Newington school.
Witnesses noticed the glow of flames coming from the Orthodox Jewish Toldos Yackov Yosef School in Heathland Road on Friday September 28, and fire fighters found the fire had been started in two different rooms.
“A fire investigator could not see any reason why the fire may have started accidently, so it is being treated as if it was set deliberately,” said a police spokeswoman.
Anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information that may assist police, is asked to call DC Nick Bull on 0207 275 3632, quoting CR4625982/12, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
