Police officers discovered a host of deadly weapons hidden around Gilpin Square after being called to deal with a huge street party last night.
Officers said the Territorial Support Group had “probably saved a life” after seizing four huge knives from the Lower Clapton square where up to 400 people had gathered for a Bank Holiday party.
They said they were there to “keep the peace” rather than shut down the event, which finished at about 3am.
