A shotgun and ammunition were found just yards from a primary school in Hoxton.
Officers were called after reports of a weapon being found in Shoreditch Park in North End Road, close to the rear of Whitmore Primary School.
Hackney police and the Met’s Dog Unit recovered the shotgun and ammunition from the scene.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
