A man from Stamford Hill has been charged following a police probe into sales of knock-off medicine.
Edward Cohen, of Paget Road, is accused of providing false statements to obtain benefits, providing false information to the Charity Commission and acquiring criminal property.
The 65-year-old is also charged with two counts of “being concerned in the acquisition of criminal property”.
Another man, 37-year-old David Cohen, 37 of Ashbourne Avenue, Golders Green, is charged with making a false statement to obtain benefits, failing to notify of a change of circumstances affecting a benefit and providing false information to the Charity Commission. He is also charged with one count of acquiring criminal property and being concerned in the acquisition of criminal property.
Both are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
Three more people have also been charged via postal requisition to appear before magistrates today.
Jacob Gross, 44, Oakfields Road, Golders Green, has been charged with being concerned in the acquisition of criminal property and acquiring criminal property.
Mindy Gross, 42, of Oakfields Road, London, and Maurice Gross, 37, of Antwerp in Belgium, have been charged with acquiring criminal property.
