A woman who ordered her son and a teenager to batter a man with a baseball bat in Dalston following a trivial row is facing years behind bars.
Abdi Osman was left with a fractured skull after Caroline Aylmer, 50, of The Beckers, Rectory Road, Stoke Newington, plotted with son Kieran Aylmer, 31, to punish him for being a “bully”.
Ms Aylmer pointed Mr Osman out to the pair at a party at a flat in Gillett Street, Dalston, last November, before her son hit him over the head, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
Mr Aylmer of Waltham Abbey, Essex, was then heard to say “You bully women,” before driving off with his mother.
The flat owner, Michael Fletcher, later received called from a man with an Irish accent asking “Is he walking? Is he talking?”
Ms Aylmer texted her son advising how to carry out the assault last November, saying: “You’ll beat him with one hand, just make sure you don’t kill him.”
A reply from Kieran’s phone – found once they were arrested – said he wanted to “F**k him up”, before the pair both gave no comment interviews to police.
Sally Fudge, prosecuting, said: “Mr Osman was able to tell police later about an incident a few weeks before the assault where he had got into an argument with Ms Aylmer and she said she would ‘Get her son on him’.”

A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court found the trio guilty of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm on Friday.
Mr Aylmer and the 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were also found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
They have all been remanded in custody ahead of their sentencing on 13 June.
All three denied the charges.
