A legendary late night drinking den has won its appeal to stay open until the early hours.
The Dolphin, in Mare Street, Hackney, will retain its notorious after-hours reputation after Stratford Magistrates ruled on Tuesday that it can stay open until 4am on Friday and Saturday nights.
Last year Hackney Council decided to strip the famed pub of its late night drinking licence as a result of police branding it the “worst theft hotspot” in the borough.
Now the Dolphin has the option to stay open until 1am Sunday to Wednesday, 2am on Thursday and 4am at weekends.
