A 44-year-old woman was raped in Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon.
Detectives from the Met’s sex offences unit are investigating the incident, which took place between 5pm and 6pm near the Pavilion Cafe.
The victim told officers she was walking through the park when she was attacked from behind by a man.
No arrests have been made. The park was taped off yesterday afternoon while officers investigated.
CCTV from the area is being examined.
