Dalston takeaway Bombay Munch served with eviction notice months after rat infestation

An Indian takeaway that was once shut down after rat droppings and urine were found across the premises has been served with an eviction notice.
A notice was pinned to the front window of Bombay Munch in Shacklwell Lane, Dalston, on Friday by landlord Kemal Meat.
It comes months after the venue, which calls itself a “creative Indian eatery” was shut down by the town hall following an inspection.
Officers found a “heavily gnawed” flour sack in the food storage and preparation room and were “overwhelmed” by the smell of rat urine. Fresh droppings were also found on the floor, on shelving and on the plastic boxes used for dishing up meals.
The venue was back open a week later, however, following another inspection.
